Netflix are reportedly being sued for a whopping $50 million after the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight.

The highly anticipated boxing match went ahead earlier this month after being postponed in July.

This was due to Tyson suffering health issues before the intended fight date.

But on November 15, the pair went head to head at the AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas, in front of 80,000 fans.

A further 65 million people watched remotely by streaming the event live on Netflix.

While the YouTuber failed to knock out Tyson, he came out victorious, with his win coming down to a unanimous decision.

All three judges scored the fight for Paul, 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73.

The 27-year-old landed 78 punches from 278 thrown (28 percent), while Tyson landed just 18 punches from 97 thrown, according to Netflix.

After the match, Paul told reporters: “I wanted to give the fans a show. I didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.”

The content creator recently appeared on his brother Logan’s podcast, Impaulsive, to share his thoughts on the fight.

Paul said: “I wish he would have put up a better fight so I could have risen more and done more.

“He was surviving, so that was the only thing I didn’t like.”

However, many viewers complained about connectivity issues when trying to access the broadcast through Netflix.

Now, one man has taken matters into his own hands after filing a class-action lawsuit against the streaming service.

Ronald ‘Blue’ Denton, who is from Hillsborough County, Florida, is arguing that poor streaming quality affected his viewing of the fight, and according to TMZ, he is alleging that the streaming service is in breach of contract.

In the lawsuit, it states: “60 million Americans were hyped to see ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ versus Youtuber-turner-prizefighter Jake Paul. What they saw was ‘The Baddest Streaming on Planet’.”

Denton is seeking $50 million in damages.

The lawsuit goes on to claim: “Netflix customers experienced massive streaming issues and should have known better because it’s happened before. They were woefully ill-prepared.”

The lawsuit added: “Boxing fans, along with the average Americans wanting to see a legend in what would most likely be his last fight, were faced with legendary problems, including: no access, streaming glitches and buffering issues.”

The fight between Paul and Tyson was Netflix biggest’s live sporting event ever.
