From internet personality to swinging his fists in the ring, Jake Paul has just faced his second loss of his relatively short boxing career.
By the looks of it, this one hurt a lot more than his 2023 loss against Tommy Fury.
While once remembered as one of the highest-paid YouTube creators out there, Jake Paul's pivot to boxing largely sees him remembered as that guy who beat Mike Tyson...on points.
Although some thought nothing would top the record-breaking success of his November 2024 victory over Iron Mike, dollar signs were presumably ringing in the eyes of Netflix execs when The Problem Child agreed to take on Anthony Joshua.

The former two-time heavyweight champion clearly doesn't pull any punches, and after Joshua landed a brutal KO blow in the sixth round, Paul didn't even attend the post-match interviews as he opted to have his injuries looked at instead.

As you can imagine, a broken jaw is no laughing matter. Still, an ever-chipper Paul updated fans from his hospital bed and explained exactly what went down at Miami's Kaseya Center when some 60 million households watched via Netflix.
While splitting a reported $184 million fight purse is nothing to be glum about, it would be quite nice to have a working jaw to enjoy all that Wagyu steak and lobster with.
Updating fans on his condition, a bruised and battered Paul shared a snap of himself from bed at the University of Miami Hospital and wrote: "Surgery went well thanks for all the love and support. 2 titanium plates on each side. Some teeth removed. Have to have only liquids for 7 days so no @doghausdogs."
Just an hour earlier on X, he said: "Just got out of surgery. Everything went smooth. Thanks for all the love. Lots of pain and stiffness. Gotta eat liquids for 7 days."
Having been knocked down twice in the fifth round and then knocked out in the sixth, Paul took quite the battering.
Amazingly, it's said that Paul feared his jaw was broken and actually drove himself to the hospital, where he was diagnosed.
Elsewhere on Instagram, he's shared an X-ray of his fractured jaw, as well as a series of graphic images that show something is clearly wrong with his face.
Despite spitting blood during an in-ring interview, a determined Paul told audiences: "I'm feeling good, that was fun, I love this sport." He's already asking fans who he should fight next, so we don't imagine it'll be long until he's lacing up his gloves once again.
Saying he plans on taking a bit of a 'break' before returning to the ring, Paul has teased that he wants to tackle the world cruiserweight title.
Although Jake Paul has vowed to keep fighting, he might be out of action for a while. He says recovery for his broken jaw is going to be between four and six weeks, so we hope he likes pureed food.
