A man has created a hair-cutting robot that uses lasers to slice off hair in his ‘most dangerous’ video yet.

The hair-raising clip was uploaded to YouTube where viewers watched a man have his hair cut using the robot laser.

The YouTuber known as I Did a Thing posted the video for his 5.32 million subscribers.

In the clip, he said: “My hair is too long and no matter what I do, no one can help me, but I don't think hairdressers are the problem.

“It’s scissors which we've been using since the dawn of time but they just don't work so today I'm going to see if I can turn this laser welder which can cut through steel into a hair cutting robot.”

In order to protect himself, the YouTuber fashioned himself a metal face shield.

At first he tried out the laser on a fake head, which proved to be unsuccessful after it burst into flames.

But then he got creative. Using a vacuum to suck his hair upwards, the laser machine sliced through the long locks.

This wasn’t without its problems though, as the hair was cut, it fell back onto the YouTuber’s head, resulting in a burn on his scalp.

He went on to say: “It does actually hurt a little bit, wait I burnt the top of my head, I mean at least it wasn't the laser that hit me.”

“There we go, my laser machine works flawlessly and if any of you want a haircut just come over to my house, you'll have to ask your mom for my address though.”

Viewers were shocked by the video, with many people taking to the YouTube comment section to share their thoughts and reactions to it.

One user wrote: “I love seeing this man progressively manage to not die in increasingly scary ways.”

Another said: “I always had a feeling something was missing at my local barber shop. Thanks for the validation man.”

A third person commented: “The only relief I get from these videos is the knowledge that someone had to have uploaded it so I know you're alive somehow.”

A fourth wrote: “You know the cut’s gonna be crazy when the barber points the red dot sight at your hairline.”

A fifth user posted: “A video is high stakes when you need to write your will and testament before doing it…”

And a sixth added: “Laser hair removal is gonna be huge, I can tell.”
