One TikTok creator has made the bold attempt to contact a supposed cannibal tribe, yet it didn't exactly go to plan when his offering was brutally rejected, leaving him feeling terrified.
Dangerous tribes have been the subject of social media videos for years, as adventurous creators make the long journeys to try and see if they can be the ones to share what they find amid threats that could include cannibalism.
One YouTuber had to make a lucky escape of his own when he spent some time with the Korowai Tribe in Papua Island after one tour guide cancelled on him, claiming the location was 'too dangerous' to visit.
Now, another TikToker who is famous for his MrBeast-style antics has tried his own luck with another collection of alleged cannibals, and he also had just about as much luck and a close call of his own.

Dara Tah, known for his wild antics and challenges on YouTube and TikTok alike, shared a new video where he took a similar trip "deep in the jungle of Papua," where he attempted to make contact with a cannibal tribe.

The video shows him on a boat with a tour guide who has previously made a connection with the tribe in question, and he has been told to give them packets of salt as a peace offering of sorts.
When they appeared through the trees to 'greet' Dara and his companions they immediately brandished giant bows, which would be enough to make any reasonable person take the safe decision to turn around as quickly as possible.
However, Dara was determined to make contact and capture it for his social media, and one of the tribesmen decided to walk to the bank to inspect his greeting gift.
The tribesman tried the salt and immediately made a disgusted face, spitting on the ground shortly after. "Oh god," Dara reacted. "OK, he doesn't look like he likes that."

Thankfully they all got the message at that point that they weren't welcome, and the boat began to quickly depart to safety.
"Not gonna lie, that is absolutely terrifying," Dara admitted following the rejected offering, and you certainly can't blame him when arrows are being drawn in your face by a tribe that supposedly would be more than happy to eat your flesh.
The tour guide did then apologise that he took them to see the tribe, but he has admitted that they'd be back the next day to try again — hopefully the tribe doesn't take that as a threat and fire on sight.

Some in the comments have suspected that the whole thing is fake, whereas others have questioned why he chose salt as the food to hand over, but it's certainly earned the attention of many by garnering nearly 18 million views on TikTok alone.
