An influencer has revealed the astounding monthly earnings she makes from Snapchat and it has left fans in shock.

The social media platform has been increasing the size of its creator monetization program and it looks like people are seriously profiting.

Amid concerns about a possibly imminent TikTok ban in the US, it seems that Snapchat could be seen as a potential replacement.

Influencer Julieanna Goddard, who is known online as YesJulz, revealed her earnings to her fans after one commenter questioned whether the app was still relevant.

It seems like it very much is as in December 2023 alone, Julieanna cashed in $15, 553.

In her worst month, July, she earned just $2,075.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, the social media influencer wrote: “I don’t even use it every day. I gotta start using it more to be honest.”

Fans were shocked to see the sums of cash she is earning from Snapchat and many took to the comment section to share their reactions.

One user wrote: “Wait, what? Snapchat is paying people??? Does it pay well? Like video content? I'm so confused.”

This prompted a response from Julieanna who said: “Yes you get paid based on views. They run ads on your stories if you are in [the] creator program.”

And she explained why her earnings fluctuate so much too. According to Julieanna, it all depends on how much she posts that month.

She said: “I’m moody. Sometimes I go weeks without posting. I post 10 to 15 days out of the month. When I'm active, I'm very active, otherwise I'm offline all together.”

However, some fans were quick to point out that it would be unlikely for most people to earn that much on the platform.

One person wrote: “You are an influencer with a high following count. You don’t count.”

And another user added: “This really ain't happening for 99 per cent of people because we're not celebs or models.”
