Elon Musk isn't a particularly popular man right now, with his estranged daughter, ex-lover Grimes, and MAGA influencer Ashley St. Clair all calling out the world's richest man. Others have shared their disdain for him, with Stephen King, Azealia Banks, Michael Keaton, Bernie Sanders, and more being among the eclectic list of names who've made their feelings clear.
It seems we can keep Jon Stewart on that list, and having previously shared his beef with the tech mogul, the host of The Daily Show has claimed that Musk has 'ghosted' him after ducking out of a challenge.
This bitter feud all started back in February 2025, when Stewart used a segment to mock Elon Musk and his role as the head of the Department of Efficiency. While Musk has vowed to try and cut $2 trillion from government spending amid accusations of waste and fraud, this has come at the cost of thousands of jobs. The backlash has been clear, with calls to boycott Tesla and Musk losing billions from his fortune.

Musk was irked by Stewart, taking to X to claim that The Daily Show is biased against him.
A volley from Stewart saw him invite the Tesla overlord onto the show, with Musk then serving back on the condition that it go out unaired - seemingly trying to allude to the idea that The Daily Show would twist his words.
Stewart even tried to sweeten the deal, trying to tempt Musk onto the show as he added: "I’ll be honest, I don’t think this network makes any other programming. So we can do whatever the f**k we want, as long as we wrap before the new season of South Park comes out."

Giving us the update we've all been waiting for, Stewart revealed where the proposed sit-down is up to these days. Speaking on his podcast, Stewart admitted he's been 'left on read' and explained: "Judging from his most recent revelations of his baby mamas, I think everyone has been left on read at some point by that gentleman...I got left on read, man."
As well as mocking the current situation between Musk and accusations he secretly fathered a 13th child with St. Clair, Stewart didn't hold back with the shots when he continued: "I did DM him. I texted him and just said like, 'Hey man, so is there somebody I should, you know, have our guys reach out to, to make this happen?’ And I got ghosted."

Suggesting that Musk is under the thumb of the POTUS, Stewart continued: "They keep talking about cancel culture.
“The real cancel culture in this country is anybody who might speak out against Donald Trump, who might be on the right, is immediately exiled."
Neither Musk nor Donald Trump was safe from the political commentator, with Stewart concluding: "If there’s one thing that this administration does better than anybody I’ve ever seen, it’s play the victim.
"I’ve never seen any people ever, including when my kids were three and two years old, evade accountability and responsibility and blame others in the way that these people do. It’s truly shameless."

At this rate, it sounds like you've got more chance of getting Musk back on SNL than The Daily Show.
