Russia's 'Doomsday Radio' sends out 15 chilling messages as fears of war grow

Officials warn that the ‘shadow of war is knocking on Europe’s door’

Public concerns have been sparked after a Russian ‘Doomsday Radio’ station sent out a total of 15 chilling messages as fears of war continue to grow.

Growing tensions between nations in recent years have sparked widespread fears of a potential third World War.

Now, members of the public have shared their own concerns of war after a mysterious ‘Doomsday Radio’ station has broadcasted a series of unnerving messages.

The station, also known as UVB-76, released numerous cryptic signals featuring messages made up of numbers and letters.

Listeners also reported hearing the faint sound of music coming from the station and short bursts of Morse code.

People online have taken to social media to share their own reactions to the news, with one user writing on Reddit: “Not to worry you, but Russia's ‘doomsday’ radio station UVB076 just sent out four strange messages after four years of silence.”

Another said: “They know those stations are being monitored and use broadcast changes to ‘communicate’ with the West.

“One of their more famous numbers stations actually played Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up hours before the ground invasion of Ukraine.”

A third person joked: “Whew, thank god it meant nothing four years ago.”

And a fourth added: “Trump activation code. Make more dumb mistakes.”

Additional warnings have come from officials, with British Military Intelligence Service (MIS) Defense Minister Al Carns raising the alarm that Europe could be on the brink of a major war.

Carns has said that the ‘shadow of war is knocking on Europe’s door’ and urged NATO allies to be ready to respond.

In a speech given in Berlin, NATO Chief Mark Rutte said: “Russia has brought war back to Europe, and we must be prepared for the scale of war our grandparents and great grandparents endured.”

In one message sent by the ‘Doomsday Radio’, Latvia was directly named, which has created panic that peace in the country could soon be threatened.

However, if an attack on Latvia by Russian forces wrer to happen, this would trigger Article 5 of NATO.

This would mean that all members of the international alliance, including the US, would need to step up in defense.

Some people fear that this act alone could result in an outbreak of a nuclear war and potentially lead the planet into World War III.

Here’s hoping that peace can be brought about before things get any worse.
