When we check in our luggage at the airport, we usually just hand it over and forget about it until we see it on the other side.
But, what happens to it beyond the check-in desk?
One curious guy decided to find out by sneaking a hidden camera into his suitcase to track its journey, titling it: 'Time to find out what the airport does with my bag.'

In the point-of-view TikTok by Thomas Miller, you can see his bag being weighed on the scales at check-in before it moves along a conveyor belt behind the airport staff.
The bag then moves through a maze of conveyor belts, past baggage handlers and security staff, with a lot of twists, turns and bumps along the way.
Eventually, it’s tossed onto the baggage truck at the airport by the handler who throws it quite carelessly. Watching the TikTok might make you rethink any valuables you choose to pack in your getaway suitcase.

This is not the only time we've seen this kind of treatment towards' luggage at airports.
Recently, there was some outrage when a baggage handler was caught on video carelessly tossing luggage onto a conveyor belt.
The traveller James Elson was shocked to see his musical instruments being flung around as he looked out of the plane window.
He took to X, calling it 'absolutely appalling.'

Last year, there was also footage of workers in hi-vis jackets 'unloading' a series of suitcases and bags onto a conveyor belt.
No care was involved as they haphazardly lobbed them in the belt's general direction, laughing as they did so.
Some suitcases were lucky to land on the conveyor belt, whilst others bounced and fell off the side.

Though it's not the due care and attention we were hoping for, Miller thankfully answered the burning question most of us have wondered when we hand over our suitcases. The secret footage was flooded with over 2,000 comments from TikTok viewers.
'I've always wondered this,' one user commented.
Another added: 'Why is this so emotional it's just a bag."
Other viewers found it amusing to make jokes and references to Pixar's Toy Story 2, writing: 'Why was I expecting to see Woody?' and 'Flashbacks to Toy Story 2'.
