Hawk Tuah Girl brought in 10,000,000 Pornhub searches in 2024

She's made quite the name for herself spitting on that thang

Up there with Glasgow's Willy Wonka Experience and being very demure (very mindful), there have been some weird and wonderful viral trends in 2024. However, while most have come and gone quicker than our own short-lived Brat summer, there's one that's somehow managed to stand the test of time. With the average TikTok video length being just 42.7 seconds, our 15 minutes of fame have turned into 15 seconds in 2024.

That is unless you're Haliey Welch, who's probably more infamous for her moniker as Hawk Tuah Girl. From a simple YouTube vox pop in June to hosting her own podcast, launching an AI-powered dating app, and trying to get into the world of cryptocurrency, Hawk Tuah Girl has made quite a name for herself for encouraging others to 'spit on that thang.'

It's not just Google searches where people have been trying to find out about Hawk Tuah Girl, with her apparently being a very popular search term on Pornhub.

The popular porn site is back with its 2024 year in review, taking us between the sheets to see what we've all been getting our rocks off to. According to the Pornhub insights, there were some 10 million searches for 'hawk tuah' this year. Not bad considering no one really knew who Welch was until halfway through the year.

Pornhub writes: "If you weren’t living under a rock this year, you no doubt heard the phrase, 'Hawk Tuah' — an instant, viral hit that took pop culture by storm.

"Sexually charged, pleasantly shocking, and all-around fun, the woman behind the phrase, Haliey Welch, became an overnight sensation when she answered the question, 'What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?'"

Sticking with viral trends, searches for 'demure' also saw a spike of 133%, while The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives saw searches for 'mormon sex' rise by 92%, and the Paris Olympic games led to 'sex Olympics' becoming another breakout trend.

Dr. Laurie Betito gives her thoughts on why Hawk Tuah Girl took off on the Pornhub scene, explaining: "Again, this fascination or interest is driven by what is popular in culture. The Hawk Tuah girl viral video showcases an ordinary girl talking about sex. I believe this is the appeal – unfiltered, candid, and spontaneous – in other words: real."

The site notes that the term “spit on d*ck” saw a +33% increase, general searches for 'spitting' climbed by 28%, and searches for 'sloppy blowj*b' rose 36%.

We'd like to clarify that the actual Hawk Tuah Girl hasn't appeared in any of these videos, with Welch previously posting on Instagram about how she’s sick of requests for her non-existent OnlyFans: "Stop asking me for the link in bio for my OnlyFans," she said. "I don't have an OnlyFans and there will never be an OnlyFans."

"I just make funny jokes, that's all I do."

We're sure that the depths of the internet include plenty of porn actors doing their best Hawk Tuah Girl impression, but as for Welch, she's a little busy trying to deal with the fallout of her $HAWK crypto disaster.
