Podcaster Candace Owens says the White House 'have confirmed' the French President tried to organise her assassination.
American political commentator Candace Owens has made explosive allegations that French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte planned to have her assassinated.
The podcaster says she learned about the alleged assassination plot from 'a high-ranking employee of the French Government' who contacted her two days before she went public with the claims.
According to her unnamed source, the killing was supposedly going to be carried out by France's elite special forces unit, the National Gendarmerie Intervention Group (GIGN), along with 'one Israeli' operative.

Authorities are yet to verify Owens' claims. She has also connected the alleged plot to the killing of Charlie Kirk, suggesting the person responsible for his death trained with a French military unit.
In a social media post, Owens announced: "Our show will be off air this week.
"As an update, both the White House and our counterterrorism agencies have confirmed receipt of what I reported publicly: Emmanuel Macron attempted to organize my assassination, per a source close to the first couple."
She added: "Also, I will again state that the French legionnaires were involved in Charlie Kirk’s assassination but they did not act alone.
Owens addressed the sceptics by writing: "For all of you who doubted my claims, you can now look to the President of the United States and our intelligence communities to issue a statement to confirm whether I am telling the truth."
This follows an urgent message Owens posted last week revealing she'd been 'contacted by a high-ranking employee of the French Government.'
She explained:" After determining this person’s position and proximity to the French couple, I have deemed the information they gave me to be credible enough to share publicly in the event that something happens.
"In short, this person claims that the Macrons have executed upon and paid for my assassination."
She also warned that French journalist Xavier Poussard, who worked on material about Brigitte Macron that Owens has promoted, was in danger as well.
"Journalist Xavier Poussard’s life is also at risk. This is deadly serious. The head of state of France apparently wants us both dead and has authorized professional units to carry this out," Owens explained.
The post has already triggered a fierce online reaction. Owens' supporters have expressed concern for her safety, while critics have dismissed the allegations as yet another conspiracy theory, pointing to her history of making controversial and unverified claims.
The 36-year-old is a well-known conservative political commentator and author who gained prominence working at Turning Point USA and building a large social media following. She has frequently faced criticism for spreading misinformation and promoting conspiracy theories on topics ranging from American politics to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As of now, neither the White House, US counterterrorism agencies, nor French authorities have publicly commented on or confirmed Owens's allegations.
