Two identical-looking baseball stars with the same name found each other after a bizarre mix-up.

Seeing someone who looks just like you is weird enough.

But having someone share your exact name and have the same job sounds almost impossible.

Yet, for two pro-baseball players named Brady Feigl, who met each other in the same lifetime, the mystery is 100% real.

While at first glance they look like brothers, the doppelgangers' similarities are much stranger.

Brady Feigl (28) and Brady Feigl (33) are 6ft 4 with red hair and red beards who rock very similar glasses and are professional pitchers.

The older Feigl plays for the Pittsburgh Pirates, while 28-year-old Fiegel used to play for the Ole Miss Rebels and is now a free agent.

The pair unexpectedly found one another following a mistake at a doctor's office in 2015.

Both Feigls underwent Tommy John surgery (a common elbow procedure for pitchers) by the same surgeon, Dr. James Andrews, just months apart.

"The way we found about it actually (was through) Dr. Andrews’ office. He’s the guy who (performed) both of our surgeries," the younger Feigl explained in 2018. "I was probably six or seven months out of surgery and their office called our trainer and said, 'Hey, when’s Brady reporting for surgery? Is he getting down here tomorrow?' He was like, ‘He had it six months ago. What are you talking about?'"

He then confirmed: "That’s how I found out there was two of us."

Naturally, with their uncanny resemblance, many wondered if the two were long-lost relatives.

But following a DNA test, it was confirmed, to many people's surprise, that the Feigls were not related. However, the test did show that the two Feigls registered as 53 percent Germanic in origin.

The confusion didn't end there, though.

A couple of years later, in 2017, Ole Miss marketing graduate assistant Mary Claire Hamner accidentally wished the wrong Brady Feigl a happy birthday on Twitter (now X). "Wrong Brady Feigl," the former San Diego Padres player responded. "Might be looking for @bfeigl39..."

Despite their age gap and lack of biological connection, the Feigls still feel bonded to each other, which is pretty wholesome. “We’re still brothers in a way,” the older Feigl said, as reported by The Sun.

Years later, people online have been expressing their surprise at the situation. One sports journalist reposted the story on X, writing: "Brady Feigl and Brady Feigl each recently took a DNA test. The results confirmed they are not related and there is, in fact, a glitch in the Matrix."
