A CEO has warned his employees that their jobs are âdoomedâ in a shocking leaked email.
Micha Kaufman, who is the founder and CEO of Fiverr is urging people to act now before artificial intelligence takes over the workforce.
With the email circulating on social media, Kaufman took to X, formerly Twitter, to release it himself, writing: âBefore it gets out somewhere else, this is an email I sent yesterday morning to my team. It applies equally to the freelance community.â
In the email to his staff, Kaufman wrote that he didnât want to âsugarcoat realityâ, warning that this was a wake-up call to warn people that âAI is coming for your jobsâ.

He continued: âAre we all doomed? Not all of us but those who will not wake up and understand the new reality fast are, unfortunately, doomed.â
He went on to say: âIf you donât like what I wrote; if you think Iâm full of s***, or just an a**hole whoâs trying to scare you - be my guest and disregard this message. I love all of you and wish you nothing but good things, but I honestly donât think a promising professional future awaits you if you disregard reality.â
The CEOâs blunt message has caused a stir online, prompting many people to share their own thoughts on the matter.
On Reddit, one user wrote: âIf weâre all f***ed, are none of us f***ed?
âI am being naive, but I believe many in society feel like when things get to the tipping point, they will be bailed out, because how can the world function with 99.9% unemployment. Unfortunately I hope the answer isnât with robot armiesâŚâ
Another said: âWe are seeing this with Duolingo replacing contract workers, UPS, Cisco, Intuit, etc.â

A third person commented: âSo everyone must become an exceptional talent? Most people donât have the capacity and are tired. Coming up: massive push back.â
A fourth wrote: âMy takeaway after reading his email (considering he's the founder of Fiverr): Regular qualified people will soon be expected to do tasks formerly considered hard-impossible... for 5 dollars.â
A fifth user said: âThe myth of re-skilling. Once those peopleâs jobs are replaced by AI any other job that they will re-skill to will also be done by AI.â
And a sixth person added: âI donât like the attitude of: you are no longer needed, go find something better to do, good luck. Why not a message of hope, like: with the AI assistance we can all work less. Lets start with 3 days a week. Enjoy your free time!â
