Since the new Rockstar title was announced, fans have been trying to guess the maps, story, characters - and now one fan believes they've figured out the plot!
The trailer has confirmed previous fan rumours about the protagonist Bonnie and Clyde 'robber-duo' narrative - starring Jason and Lucia.
With the caption reading: 'The trailer MIGHT have given us everything we need to know about the structure of Lucia and Jason’s plot,' JOJO_REDDIT thinks they've figured out that Jason is an undercover cop.
The trailer kicks off with Lucia in prison, and she ends up teaming up with Jason in a criminal partnership, leading fans to interpret that he's the undercover cop sent to bring her down.

Additionally, Lucia's assertive role in their criminal activities - and Jason's worrying demeanour - led the Reddit user to the belief that Jason is hiding something.
Movie soundtracks tend to fit the theme or the emotion of the plot. In GTA VI's case, Rockstar chose the song Love is a Long Road by Tom Petty. And the lyrics seem to confirm the tragic love storyline.

Fans are agreeing with the Reddit user with saying: 'Good speculations here too. I like it. Had to be a reason Rockstar chose this songs out of 1000s of songs.'
The OP goes on to say that Jason's full face is never truly revealed - with us only able to see one side of his face or covered by a bandana. Whereas, Lucia's face is full exposed for the majority of her screen time. Jason must be hiding something.
Not only that, he only says one word throughout the 90 minute long trailer - 'trust'.
It seems to be one of those love storylines where a cop falls in love with the criminal unexpectedly, but at the end of the day, the cop has a job to do.
Though this tragic love storyline has been used countless times in movies, Romeo and Juliet, Bonnie and Clyde. The Reddit user says: 'Lucia will eventually fall but Jason will too.'
Another scene showing a cop raiding a drug den raises suspicions among fans, with many concurring with the Reddit theory that it conceals Jason's identity as the undercover cop.
Reddit comments are echoing the theory, saying: 'Jason really does have the cop haircut too if you think about it.'
Meanwhile, other speculators are saying we need more info to lock in these theories, as GTA V had multiple trailer releases based on each of the three protagonists' storylines: 'I think we will get a separate trailer that it is dedicated to Jason, like it happened with GTA V trailers.'
