One Apple fan was excited to unbox and try out her new AirPods Max until she ran into a major issue.

Two hours after trying them out, TikToker Saffron Jackson (@safffronjackson1) went back to the store to return them because they were too uncomfortable.

She captioned in her TikTok: "You live & you learn… I shouldve listened to Tiktok".

The video has racked in 87k likes and almost 600 comments.

Some viewers have agreed with the content creator.

"the airpod max are so um comfortable and actually made my head like hurt and i felt sick, like they felt really heavy? i have the sony ones 100x better. im a apple fan but the airpod max are just bad," one concurring user wrote.

Many viewers have suggested other headphones as alternatives.

"girl, sony xm4 will CHANGE your life and are so pretty," wrote the first user in the comment section.

"Sony whmx4 is the one. Fraction of the price and so comfy," wrote a second.

Others actually disagreed and defended the headset, saying things like: "my airpods max are the most comfortable headphones i’ve ever owned..," and "That’s so weird I think they’re so comfy!"

Saffron isn't the only one who had a bad experience, however.

Another Apple fan tried out the same headphones and discovered a similar issue, sharing their opinions on internet forum Reddit.

They wrote: "I’m seriously considering selling my new Max’s. I can’t return them (return window was 15 days when I thought it was 30, it’s been 24 days.

"They hurt my head and jaw. Give me migraines. Really really disappointed."

The AirPods Max headset, released in December 2020, was highly anticipated by diehard Apple fans.

But for the hefty price of around £500, it's surprising that so many Apple fans are experiencing this common issue with their comfortability.

One user called them 'indisputably expensive' and 'undeniably heavy' at 385 grams in his review of them on DaringFireball.net. They described: "The AirPods Max headband does seem to distribute the weight as comfortably as it can, but the weight is all in the ear cups, and heavy ear cups are, well, heavy."
